About Alamo, TN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Alamo is a historic and beautiful old town that is special in many ways.  The residents here are friendly and proud of their heritage and community.  You will never find a more peaceful little town.  It is a wonderful place for retirees to consider.  It is also a great choice for families.  Kids can ride bikes in the summer and sled in the winter.  There is something for everyone.  What more can you ask for?

This rural community has a population of just over 2,000.  This area is both naturally beautiful and culturally rich.  There is history everywhere, surrounded by abundant and unique natural sites and parks. Within Alamo, you will find the Tennessee Safari Park, which is a drive thru safari and conservation center catering to families and schools, etc.  This park’s conservation efforts are varied and include antelope, turtles and other rare and endangered species.  The park is open 7 days a week.  Monday through Saturday it is open from 10 to 4:30, and on Sundays they open later.  The winter hours are different, however, due to the change in weather in the area.

The historical and cultural significance is absolutely undeniable.  For example, the nearby town of Rutherford has a unique “claim to fame” as the last home of Davy Crockett.  In town they have a restored cabin built from the timber from Crockett’s original cabin.  His mother’s grave is also there. Rutherford hosts a community festival called "Davy Crockett Days" each year where the community celebrated West Tennessee history and culture.  Tennessee culture is deeply rooted in its agricultural history, which is commemorated and preserved at the West Tennessee Agricultural Museum in the nearby town of Milan. In the fall, the museum holds a Fall Folklore Jamboree with art, music, food and fun.  You could visit both festivals and have a great time, as the weather in the autumn is just right for this type of fun.
