Part of the Tennessee culture that is deeply rooted in its history is its agricultural history, which is commemorated and preserved at the West Tennessee Agricultural Museum. The facility maintains over 2,600 artifacts. Exhibits display farm equipment and materials, photos, paintings, and more. In the fall, the museum holds a Fall Folklore Jamboree with art, music and more. It is a great event for the kids and the weather in the autumn is just right for this type of fun.
If you spend much time in this part of Tennessee, you will find that festivals, carnivals and community events are commonplace and that every small town in the area does its part to “bring the fun.” In every season, you will find a fun and family-friendly event to attend. The town of Three-Way holds community dinners, Labor Day events and more. The nearby town of Dyer holds its annual Dyer Station Celebration during the Fourth of July week every summer. Adjacent Humboldt hosts The West Tennessee Strawberry Festival each year in May. The 77-year tradition is an event that all locals anticipate and attend with great excitement. At any of these types of events you will generally find artisans, food, music, parades and other wholesome all-American fun.
